| 5/13/08 Okay, we're back with the second and concluding Froot Pants and The Mouse strip. With the next strip we'll be starting stuff that picks up where we left off, but also heads in new directions. IN OTHER NEWS: First off, I heartily recommend that you check out fellow Playground Ghost Chris Yates'new book Set It To Awesome which collects his Reprographics adventures in swanky and convenient printed type form. Many of you may already be familiar with Reprographics, but those of you who aren't need to get with the program and start appreciating life's sublime pleasures. (Also,it includes a guest strip by yours truly.) SECONDLY, I direct you to Bengo & Pug's charming webcomic Scratchin Post. Those of you (Like me) who own pets (Especially cats) know they are COMPLETELY INSANE, so just imagine what kinds of stuff they get up to in a cartoon world without humans. Additionally, if you are craving webcomics news and analysis, check out Bengo's blog Floating Lightbulb for the straight dope on what goes on with this nutty artform. 4/14/08 Sorry about the delay with this latest strip, I'm trying out some new techniques. Lest anyone fret, we'll rejoin Helen and her adventures shortly. In the mean time, enjoy this cartoon intermission which brings back old time Acid Keg characters Froot Pants Lion and the Mouse. 4/5/08 Colleen Venable of Fluff in Brooklyn fame very nicely made a Livejournal feed of my blog here. 2/20/08 I now have a BLOG! Gaze in wonder as I give you a tantalizing peek into what I'm into and what I'm up to. 2/2/08 Here's a head up that Shaennon Garrity's great webcomic Smithson has come to it's conclusion, but it's artist Brian Moore has new stuff of his own up. Check it out, I'm really excited by the new directions he's going in. 1/19/08 Going on hiatus comes with consequences! 1/17/08 Hell has frozen over this cold January morn...it's back! Hope you enjoy the new look. The strip will be updating on thursdays, both here and at Jaded Publishing Also, a big shout out to Heather Hogan AKA my wife. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAYBEE! Hopefully my audience wishes you a happy birthday (But leave the spanking to me.) 8/3/07 Tauhid Bondia of Spells and Whistles and Suzie View fame is back with a new spacefaring strip Good Ship Chronicles. Tauhid has more chops than a karate school and his spacefaring comedy is well worth your time. 3/14/07 If anyone is in the market to wear some Hogan art, here's a bowling t-shirt I designed for Vermont's leading weekly paper Seven Days. 11/14/06 A belated thanks to GTS of Sentient Force Field for the nice write up. You're too kind sir! Also, if you're looking for more webcomic fun, check out Brett and Byron's new-ish strip Winkle and Shrubs Enjoy! 10/3/06 The Playground Ghosts welcome new member Bernie Hou, the earthly brains behind the hilarious Alien Loves Predator. It's possible you've been living in cave or a pyramid in Antarctica or something and haven't heard of ALP...so if this is the case check it out! 8/21/06 There's a nice write up of Acid Keg over at Lines and Colors. The site's run by Charley Parker who created the first true webcomic Argon Zark. You readers who dig psychedelic artwork and zany adventures would be well served by checking this pioneering strip out.! 8/10/06 Here's a plug for fellow northern Vermonter Matt Reno's strip Grammatically Incorrect. Matt's twisted single panel ruminations prove that there must be something in the water up here. Check him out! 7/18/06 We're back with new stuff! In addition to the latest update in Helen & Clive's saga, I've added the rest of the 2003 strips in this archive. (Where I've moved the other 2003 strips.) 6/27/06 Helen and Clive's original story has finished it's run on Graphic Smash and is now once again available for free on this site. If you've never gotten to read it before, click "First" above the current strip and have at it! 6/7/06 Acid Keg's been on hiatus for a bit while I rethink what I want to do with it. I'm gearing up for a return in the near future, but in the meantime I'm rerunning some of the early 2003 strips that haven't been on the site in awhile. |
